Saturday Afternoon

The peppers finally decided to sprout a few days ago, and we have tiny curls of serranos, bird chilies, corno di toro, and poblano poking up from the potting soil. Note to future self: pepper seeds obviously like it warm. Either move the trays into the sun earlier or invest in a warming pad.

Have started reading Hilary Mantel's Beyond Black, which is about a psychic and her assistant/manager who travel around England giving "readings" (i.e., messages from the dead). Oh my god what great writing.

Otherwise ... blah. Very much at sixes and sevens these days.
