Made Insalata caprese last night with our own ripe patio tomato and basil! And it was ... good. *g* I wish our local stores carried real buffalo mozzarella, but it looks like we'll have to make a pilgrimage to Central Market or Whole Foods for that. Oh well. It was still good -- the tomato was beautiful and juicy and sweet, and the basil was delicately spicy and fresh. Mmmm. Can't wait for more of our tomatoes to ripen.
