Overcast and cold, patches of unmelted snow in the back and front yard. Lots of birds on the ground and at the feeders this morning -- I spotted white-winged doves, a couple of families of house finches, titmice, wrens, American goldfinches in their winter wear, a blue jay, the little olive-drab guy that likes the suet basket, and what looked like a chipping sparrow, with a pretty russet cap. They all flew when Chango went out, but soon came back.

Lots of housely stuff to do today ...
