Friday With Dinosaurs

The sun is shining. Or ... it was, and now it's just kind of hazy, but it's still better than it has been. Still chilly at 48 degrees (8.88 C).

Very interesting article in the NY Times today, about the amazing research that's being done on the color and plumage of the earliest birds. Which were also dinosaurs. The article and a fantastically strange illustration are under the cut. Feathered dinosaurs, guys. So cool!

Friday Night

So we were watching this very unmemorable biopic -- De-Lovely, the life of Cole Porter, with Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd as Cole and Linda Porter. And in one musical sequence, there's this very handsome, open-faced young man, smiling and full of life, singing Night and Day in rehearsals with Cole. And I'm looking through the IMDB entry, and ...

... it's John Barrowman. *g*

Damn, he was good.
