At midnight last night, it was 78 degrees. Now? It's 61, cloudy and a little windy. I can see a wren perched on the fence, and there are three puffed-up mourning doves in the back yard.

Not at all sure what I'm doing today -- there are errands I should run but we'll see. In the meantime, have twenty-nine albino animals, one of which is a ... white blackbird. Heh.

Guys, there is a giant silver Mylar mushroom flying over Colorado, and there's a six-year-old kid inside.

I could not even make this up.

ETA that MSNBC is reporting the kid's name is Falcon. For real.

And ETA that the balloon is down and there's no kid in the balloon. Well now. Heh, most awkward MSNBC headline ever: Officials search for boy not found in balloon.

He was hiding in the attic of his home.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] crowdog66 for passing this along. Hee.

ETA that at least one source (the Telegraph, UK) is reporting the whole thing was a hoax, cooked up by the three brothers.

Making spaghetti. Nice and COOL outside -- the cottontail bunny was in the back yard because I put out some more corn. More later maybe.
