Findings of wine researcher upsets contest judges. It seems as if many judges give gold-medal wines different ratings if they taste them in multiple blind tests, and a wine that wins gold in one contest may not in another. Heh.

Fairy tales may be older than we thought. I wish this had been more of an in-depth story, because I love reading stuff like this.

AIDS-awareness vid shows Hitler having sex. No, I'm not kidding. Their message is AIDS = mass murder, and while I guess they could've used Pol Pot, I doubt many viewers would have recognized him. I watched the vid, and it's hot and steamy and beautifully shot and definitely NSFW. It's also creepy as hell. Yowza.

Power surge just fried my AC adapter. May be offline for a while.

ETA about 5:20 p.m., back on. Light suddenly went on in husband's head (after he'd gone to Office Max and Radio Shack and come home empty-handed) that the adapter for his (Lenovo) work laptop might fit this one.

And it did. Which is good, considering it was HIS FAULT THAT WE TRIPPED A CIRCUIT BREAKER IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE. Nnnnnghghghhghhhsfhtgbn357@^#@% gnerf. Guh. Calm now. Calm.
