nightdog_barks: Can of Maryland Club ground coffee (Coffee)
Overcast and very damp, chance of rain tomorrow. 66 degrees, supposed to get up to 76. Waiting for the guys to come and finish fixing our fence and putting down gravel on the north side of the house where nothing will grow.

Wrote a silly bit of Housefic yesterday, will probably put it up today. In the meantime, here is a very short poem by the American poet Katie Ford --

Ark

We love the stories of flood and the few
told to prepare in advance by their god.
In that story, the saved are
always us, meaning:
whoever holds the book.

Moving this up in order to put stats on it, etc., and post. If anyone sees anything that squeaks, blarps, or gallops across the roof, please please say so. *g* 1,231 words.

ETA: Posted to [livejournal.com profile] housefic, opening here.

... although it feels oddly like Sunday. Mr. N is going to New York tomorrow so today was laundry day.

Probably going to bake a small ham for dinner, maybe glaze it with mustard and tangerine marmalade. 73 degrees out. So what are other folks doing this Saturday night?

Also? The Mr. Jim's Pizza commercials with "Dough-by the Automatic Mixer" are the worst ads on TV.
