57 degrees and very sunny, supposed to get up to about 70 today. We'll probably be able to grill again tonight (blue cheeseburgers from Sprouts) like we did last night (marinated chicken wings).

Not very excited about the Super Bowl this year, although Mr. N would like to see Pittsburgh win because he's from northeastern Ohio and the Steelers quarterback (Ben Roethlisberger) is from where Mr. N's younger brother now lives. Heh.

So. Feeling better -- got some decent sleep last night. More coffee now.

Finished Ghost Road Blues. It really is one of those fat paperbacks that you can just sprint through -- a step above an airplane book, but not by much. There were several Bad Guys, but it was pretty clear the author had really liked one of them (the scenes with him were nicely written and funny) -- a well-mannered guy with a friendly smile named Karl Ruger (hey, it's not a name I would have chosen) who's also a complete sociopath. And he has gray eyes, although at the very end the author forgets and says they're brown. Hee.

Anyway, the author had built up to what had to be a huge mofo apocalypse ending, and it just ... fizzled out. And I was like WTF? And it turns out ... it's the first book of a trilogy.

Sigh. Except I don't think I'm interested enough to read the next one.
