Sunny and warm and humid. Ick.

Did pretty much nothing over the weekend so need to do some housework today -- putting clean sheets on the bed, some vacuuming, etc.

And ... that's about all I got right now. *is boring*

An LJ friend has pointed out this article from the Literary Review of Canada, which I think some folks will find interesting reading.

Friction over Fan Fiction, subtitled Is this Burgeoning Art Form Legal? It's by Grace Westcott, and seems to be a fairly even-handed short history of fanfic and its Canadian copyright implications. It mentions the new Organization for Transformative Works (although she misnames it as Transformative Use). The author is a practicing copyright lawyer and the Vice Chair of the Canadian Copyright Institute.
