Warm and a little cloudy -- it's 78 degrees already, with 66% humidity. Need to go to PetsMart (dog food), grocery store, post office, and dry cleaners.

Coffee first, though, and a poem coming up shortly.

Poem for today is a subversive little narrative from the American poet Weldon Kees, born 1914, presumed dead, 1955.

It is warm here. Warm, warm, warm. High temp today was about 85, and it's still 80 right now. Had to turn on the AC in my car this afternoon, which is Not Good as it eats up more gas and it cost Mr. Nightdog $43 just the other day to fill up his Accord.

Still, today was pretty good. Got out and ran errands, turned the radio up and sang along with Aerosmith (what? I'm old!). Just now put recyclables out. Watched Bones and House tonight, and was vastly pleased by the promo for the latter. Also watched CSI: Miami and cannot figure out how Horatio Caine is such a Renaissance-type guy, what with being both a cop and a scientist. Good lord, what a silly show.

Not much else right now.
