Okay, so. I didn't want to make another post until I actually had some news, and, if we look at the calendar, it's been approximately ... four weeks. For any real news.
Remember how the doc said we'd be able to use a pill for treatment? Yeah, not so much. This is a more aggressive mover than they'd anticipated, so he wants to employ the old-fashioned method of going in and blasting it with an atomic bomb of chemo to stop it in its tracks. The drug is called abraxane (yes, I keep wanting to call it Abraxas). You take it once a week for three weeks, then one week off, then start again.
Monday we are meeting with insurance people, Tuesday I am having fluid drained from my lungs. Wednesday (supposedly), first chemo. I hope so. I am so tired of feeling like shit and am ready to punch this thing in its fucking face.
