nightdog_barksI think it is officially hot today. Weather.com says it is 96 right now (35.6 degrees Celsius) and that it feels like 101. I watered all the plants on the deck earlier and it was not bad at first but quickly became like standing under a magnifying glass.
Received three new plants -- two lemongrass and one dwarf mulberry. We use lemongrass sometimes, but I totally admit that I got it mostly for Layla, who loves to nibble on the long leaves. Makes her breath smell lemony. *g* Probably the last plants I will buy by mail for now; just too hot for safely shipping.
And speaking of mail, Mister Nightdog saw the Killer Roadrunner when he walked to the curb out front of our house to pick up the mail. Our neighbor across the street, who was out in his front yard, said it had walked right past him. Bold bastard for these hot days. :D
