nightdog_barksWell, the new recipe from here was ... meh. It wasn't bad at all, but it just wasn't very ... delicious. I don't think we did anything wrong or left anything out -- it's just the risk one runs with new things. OH WELL.
Reading Marie Brenner's Apples and Oranges: My Brother and Me, Lost and Found, which is a nonfiction account of what it sounds like -- the writer's relationship (often stormy) with her older brother.
Also read this short story tonight -- Nick Mamatas' A Night Out at a Nice Place. I thought it was interesting and inventive, with great, creative wordplay, but my main reaction was "What did I just read?" :D
