nightdog_barksIt is a positively tropical 61 degrees outside today (16.1 Celsius), and it feels so wonderfully mild. Watered the sage, mint, rosemary, and the little olive tree I have on the deck. Layla helped by urging me to throw a ball for her.
Dreamed last night that I was buying a new bird feeder from some craft-y type person who made them by hand and sold them out of their front yard, and I was looking at one that was blue plastic with some type of narrow chute coming down for seed and it cost $14. Also last week I dreamed I was somewhere eating "iron pies" (they were like pancakes?) with Native Americans and I was thinking to myself in the dream "Well, wouldn't they be surprised to see me eating iron pies with the Chippewa." And I knew in my dream that iron pies was often abbreviated to ironies. Yes IDEK brain.
Finished Mohsin Hamid's Exit West and ... I liked it, a lot, but good lord the man does love his run-on sentences. Currently reading Matt Ruff's Lovecraft Country, which is very good.
