I haven't actively been seeking out spoilers or showrunner interviews, but I did see someone reference an interview (I think the reference was in a comment thread on The AV Club) where the showrunners said that in their backstory, there actually had been several deaths of guests. So ... IDK. Maybe the robots are supposed to stop before they kill a guest, but sometimes accidents happen? One would think the park would've been sued out of existence, but maybe Anthony Hopkins' character is rich as Croesus and it doesn't matter. Plus I'm sure everyone has to sign 9,000 pages of liability releases before they go in. ;-)

I finally got to watch Sunday night's episode tonight. The scene with Maeve and the bird took my breath away. Wow.
