Yeah, BBC Sherlock can be an utter bastard, and yet he's got this ... incandescence about him that none of the others have. I think that's probably Cumberbatch's doing, the way he plays him. Plus Moffat and his crew have so much time to come up with flash scripts for a tiny series. (Tiny in the sense of only a few episodes, not fandom.)
