Actually the bumper sticker predates the crash. I remember hearing about it at the time, toward the end of 1972 & I first saw the sticker a couple of years before that. I had only been in England a few months at the time. After the crash I asked one of the players in the rugby club about it and he said it was a pretty pretty commonly seen on players cars during the summer of 1960-70 and referred to how ferocious the game can get, no pads, lots of blood, cuts, scrapes and an extremely high level of endurance required by the players. In other words pretty much no quarter given or asked by anyone involved.
