Wren Update: She's there on the nest, but I haven't bothered her since a quick glance in. Beady black eyes FTW, heh.

Sunny and just a little breezy. 69 degrees (20.5 Celsius) and a tad more humid than yesterday. Need to do some vacuuming ... also want to do some writing. So we'll see what happens. *g*

I have to do some vacuuming too, since Rocket was just in flinging dog hair hither and yon. Today is his 10th birthday, but I don't think he's gotten the message that he should slow down. He was jumping up trying to nip me on the nose. :D

LJ's continuing to be problematic for me -- slowish and not showing anyone's journal banners.

Yep, LJ is sluggish for me too. It seems to be mostly okay when I'm in my own journal, but it takes a while for friends' entries to come up, especially if there's a photo involved.

Mr. N has gone to run errands and do some shopping. I've moved the vacuum downstairs but haven't run it yet. *g*

Chango will be 7 this July. Happy Birthday to Rocket Dog! *g*

Hi Nightdog HellO!

I am drinking a little coffeeish, and the Mr's gone off for a long bike ride. Z is still napping, and I'm going to let her sleep for a few minutes yet, I think, while I finish my coffeeish and my grocery list. Then Z and I are going shopping!

I did get some good work done this morning, and I even got in a short kettlebell workout after Z went down for nap, so. Even though we haven't yet done any of our normal weekend chores, I'd say the day is a success so far. :)

Since he's had a bath, we might take him downtown to walk for his birthday and buy him an ice cream cone. The dog adores Dairy Queen softserve vanilla.

I finally snagged the boy and sat him down to cut his hair, so vacuuming did happen here.

Hi Perspi! Your day sounds most excellent! I did some vacuuming, and then our yard guys came and Mr. N went outside and asked them to please be really careful around the deck table because there was a nido (a nest) in the gardening pot. *g*

Wren update YAY!

Home at last, very grimy and somewhat sore, but in better shape than yesterday.

I bought some "old vine Zinfandel" on my way home, so I'm going to get cleaned up and then have some of that with the chicken-barley dish I made, and some fresh spinach and some asparagus, which I cook quickly in a skillet with a bit of water, salt and dill. Have been craving veggies a lot lately.

Lucky Rocket! Chango hasn't ever had ice cream, but she does get a bite or two of cheese most every night -- whatever Mr. N is putting in the salad. If it's blue cheese, it makes her sneeze.
