I won three vids from very talented people in the help_haiti auction, but making the donations to the charities is proving difficult because my credit card is flagged in such a way that I need to call the bank and reassure them I'm indeed the one who made the donation.

This is compounded by the fact that explaining fandom to my mother is something of a lost cause.
