Sunny and very nice out -- 71 degrees with a light breeze that's sending leaves swirling down every now and then. Will be doing housely things today, I think.

So. News of the odd: Protestors picket play depicting Jesus as a transsexual. It's in Scotland, and the play is called Jesus, Queen of Heaven. Regardless of how one feels about the play itself, I think it's terribly sad that at least one person was holding up a sign saying "God: My Son Is Not A Pervert." Because of course all transsexuals are OMG PERVS. Ugh.

And news of the happy: Amateur treasure hunter finds fortune. Also in Scotland. He tried out his new metal detector in the kitchen, detecting knives and forks (hee), then took it out and found a set of pre-Roman golden torcs (necklaces), worth millions. Good for him. *g*

So a couple of days ago fayding_fast sent me a PM, saying she'd written a story in the Duck Duck Goose-verse and asking permission to put it up. And here it is -- Sitting Duck.

It's a lovely fic, sweet and touching -- it adds a bit of valuable backstory to the seriousness of Wilson's injury, and it's just awesome that fayding was able to bring something new out of this ficverse.
