Goodbye, May

You're not forgiven for that massive health scare you gave me, no, not yet. Took my first industrial-sized antibiotic pill this morning; nine more to go.

Started reading Ben Aaronovitch's Lies Sleeping last night, and before I knew it, I had fallen 100 pages in. :D

It doesn't seem to be upsetting my stomach, which is a good thing, but otherwise it's making me feel sort of ... buzzy. And more tired, which I hadn't actually thought possible!

That class of antibiotics can have some strange side effects. Perhaps it's best not to know what they are. :D But not being upset is a plus.

LOL! Oh, I know! There's the "I'll Use Your Achilles Tendon for a Chew Toy" side effect, the "I'll Give You Insomnia" side effect, and my favorite, "I'll Give You Weird, Surreal Dreams" side effect. :D

I've had the last side effect before, when they gave it to me as a precaution against opportunistic infections while I was on chemo. I have never forgotten the dream I had in which archetypes came out of books and explained to me about how storytelling works. And I was like OMG IT'S SO SIMPLE IT'S THE TRUTH BEHIND EVERYTHING. And of course it all vanished.

I know there was another one too that was just as weird and spooky, but I can't remember it at all. Just absolutely surreal shit.
