New Year Tuesday

Back from traveling; we were in Michigan for New Year's Eve, and it was cold. Very cold. And snowy.

The last book I read for 2012 was China Miéville's The City & The City (I loved it -- it is astoundingly inventive and mysterious and I would read more of the adventures of Inspector Tyador Borlú in a heartbeat). The first book for 2013 will be Louise Erdrich's The Round House, which I started reading on the plane.

*g* It ranged, I believe, from the low 'teens to the low 20s. Which is not actually that terrible, but I'm used to it being in the 20s in the morning and then shooting up to the 40s in the afternoon. And in Michigan, it just stays frozen. The snow was pretty, though -- there was about four to five inches on the ground.
