Let's try this again.

Have been hosting poetry this week -- I figured I could at least manage five poems out of seven days. *g* I especially like the one I put up today, called Inventing a Horse.

It's ridiculously warm here today -- 86 degrees (30 degrees Celsius), but we're supposed to have a big cold front come through sometime Monday. Been watching a lot of (fairly mindless but decent) police procedurals and doctor shows -- stuff like Blue Bloods, A Gifted Man (Patrick Wilson is hot), Person of Interest, Doc Martin, Law & Order: UK. And, of course, House.

Can't promise how often I'll post, or even that I'll answer every comment. But I'm going to try and be here more. :-)

I'm now wondering how your local birds are taking the heat, and how that's affecting migration patterns.

The majority of our local birds seem to have left us! I know the wrens are still around, and the blue jays, but a lot of the other small birds have either migrated or are just in hiding. I did hear a screech owl the other night, which was wonderful, and I could put out some more easy food (I'd stopped because of the mice, but we haven't seen the mice in a couple of weeks).
