Friday

Just for the record, I signed into Dreamwidth this morning before Livejournal ... and the world didn't end. :-)

Hazy sun and warm -- 84 degrees (28.9 Celsius) with a light breeze out of the south. Restless night, lots of broken sleep. Stayed up too late to begin with, watching live coverage of the San Bruno fire in northern California. The Los Angeles Times has an incredible photo gallery of the disaster here.

Still reading Pearl Buck in China ... need to get out and pick up a few things today. And ... that's all I got right now.

Hehee! I noticed yesterday that I did that. (It helps that I moved the bookmark button for DW to a handier spot.)

We're having a dreadfully slothful day around here and have accomplished nothing except feeding the critters and ourselves.

You're not the only one. I've been checking DW first for the past couple of days. This place is starting to feel comfortable for me and I like that a lot. It's good seeing more people I'm familiar with showing up all the time.

HI EVERYBODY! *waves*

I've done little of note this morning, but it's been lovely so far--very relaxing, at least. Redoing links in my LJ is a lot of farking work, so I'm very tempted to delete the whole thing with a single post left to direct to my fic index on DW.

Then again, with comments disabled on my LJ, and the only thing left there as fic, I should be OK. I don't want to break people's links, if I can help it. Damn it.

Heh. I really like Dreamwidth a lot already. It has many actually helpful features and ... it's cozy somehow, in a good way. *g*

(And in the light of Mare's recent post, I'm even more glad that there is an alternative to LJ. But the move was rather easy for me of course, not having such a long history over there like some of you.)
