Monday

Sunny and very cool -- 43 degrees, only supposed to go up to 58 with a possible light freeze tonight and tomorrow night. Brought all our deck plants in AGAIN. Sheesh, this is getting old. The cilantro sprouts are still the most energetic/weedy -- the shoots are at least 2 - 3 inches tall. The basil and chives are real slowpokes.

Today need to go to the post office and grocery store. Will be putting up a poem later and a nanofic I wrote yesterday. The latter is nothing special -- more of a vignette, so I'm just posting it here.

Lots of tossing and turning last night, lots of hot flashes, vague feelings of disquiet -- thanks a lot, body. At least House is on tonight. Heh.

It is windy and frakking cold here, and I'm probably going to beg the Mr. to come pick me up after class since I forgot my long underwear and my hat. And I'm sick. *whines*

Anyway. I have some tea and am actually making progress on my Very Large List of Things To Catch Up On. :)

And House! It's TEH BIG ONE. TEH EPISODE WE CAN'T EVEN PREVIEW BECAUSE IT WILL LEAVE YOU SPEECHLESS. (or really, we just don't have any idea how to put together a coherent teaser.)

YES, THIS. I CANNOT EVEN BRING MYSELF TO RESPOND BECAUSE I AM SPEECHLESS.

Hee. But yay for making progress on the VLLoTTCUO! Hm, think I got all those letters in.

As much as I rabidly adore House, that preview made me roll my eyes last week. I wanted to holler "SHOW, DON'T TELL" at the television, but that would have been weird.

It's cold here and they're still predicting snow, which is also so weird. Everything is blooming, the grass is green, and we had no snow to speak of all winter. Very odd.

I heard something yesterday about supposed snow today (or tonight?) but so far the sky is clear.

A few of my little seeds are just barely beginning to unfurl. You know, that interminable stage at which you can see this tiny spark of pale cream-green and you keep looking to make sure you didn't just imagine it.

And I think I should set my alarm for 6:30 PM so that I won't do tonight what I did last Monday and completely space House.

Seeds are just amazing. Such a tiny, tiny packet of energy and a whole plant comes from it. Magic.

And alarm-setting is an excellent idea. *g*

Hee! Well, the preview just screamed "I AM IMPORTANT! LOOK AT ME, I'M EVEN IN BLACK AND WHITE TO SHOW YOU HOW IMPORTANT I AM!"

I wish we'd gotten snow this year. Sigh.

I've heard rumors and gossip around the neighborhood about snow, but I'm unwilling to believe them. There's a more-than-even chance of rain, though, and I'm glad to have that. Wash the pollen right out of the air, like.

I'm starting to wish it would rain again here. This has been a very pollen-heavy spring.

*yawns with weariness*

Took gown in today. My boss loved it and I got paid on the spot. Yayyy! In a couple weeks I may have another gown to paint. We're doing lunch at Carrabas on Tuesday a week from tomorrow. using my holiday gift card, finally We'll talk about a gown then.

Also had to fix some screw up with a money order my former landlord failed to cash before he finalized the sale of this property we're renting. The new landlord couldn't cash it, nor could I. What a pain. But it's settled and the rent will be paid. The Mr. insists on using money orders?? Whatever.
