Out and about today, including to Sprouts, where much to my surprise they had young tomato plants for sale, 2 for $7. They were Early Girl, which is a variety we've not grown before, and I went ahead and bought two. The pots each contain two plants, so actually that's four plants for seven dollars. This despite the fact that we're supposed to have snow flurries tomorrow. But a person can have hope. :D
