Sunny, warm (92), all the usual blahblah. More squirrels and jays and cardinals in the yard -- must refill bird dish with fresh water (done, and Chango helped). Mr. N will probably come home early today and he has tomorrow off for the Fourth of July holiday -- I need to go to the bank but maybe I can offload it on him ask him if he'll go. Heh.

But. More coffee now.

Out and About, Or, That's One Mighty Big Bull!

Heh. Went to the bank/ATM, then to the post office to mail the Ancient Uncle's sympathy card. Part of the route I took is along a road through old farmland that's being widened from two lanes to four, and there are still some farms and small ranches along either side. I glanced over to my right, and there's the biggest damn Hereford bull I've ever seen. To give you an idea of just how big, he was about comparable in size to this big boy. The one I saw was standing halfway under a sycamore tree, placidly watching the traffic go by.

So I waved at him, turned up the radio and sang along with "Band On the Run." Oh, and one of those notoriously inaccurate bank signs said it was 111 degrees, but it's really not. It's 100. *g*
