HA I AM SO NOT SURPRISED. I mean, when I was reading it, I was literally thinking "Wow, this would make such a great movie."

And after I'd finished Nathan Hill's The Nix, I saw that it was in line for a TV adaptation by J.J. Abrams (!), with Meryl Streep starring. Which -- I think she will be great, but I find it hard to believe they'll be able to fit the whole story in, and so I'm betting one of the story lines will get dropped on the floor. Which will be sad, because it's such a great book.
