Heh. Dami, my version of hiking is staying in a hotel without room service. *g* Seriously, I haven't been camping since I was a little kid in the Camp Fire Girls. The first time I ever saw real mountains was in Banff, Alberta, Canada, some twenty years ago.

I've actually not read LeGuin's Word for World Is Forest (I've read her three other "big" books), but I knew the title, and when I thought to connect it to this story, it just clicked.
