Tonight's Episode
Well now.
I need to think about this some more. I did like the episode, even though there were some clunky anvilicious moments. Also, writers, we've been down this road before with the whole brain/reasoning/choosing your own life thing, and I was actually sorry to see that pop up again. I do think, though, there was a definite callback to ... whatever episode that was where Wilson told House to reconnect, and he went to the little bistro and saw his team there, and then this episode where he goes to return Cuddy's hairbrush, and he sees Cuddy and her sister and Possible New Boyfriend.
Speaking of Cuddy, awesome work by LE in that cold open.
Didn't see the reveal by Rachel Taub coming at all. Laughed out loud for real at House's phonecall to Thirteen while she was in the room. Also troubling that House had gone far enough with the scrips to get both himself and Wilson in deep shit (again).
Tired unto death of the endless series of patients who are supposed to parallel House in some way and/or have Deep Insights into House's Inner Nature. Isn't there some other way to tell these stories? At all? And I'm not dissing Shohreh Aghdashloo, I thought she was great.
I did think it was interesting that House ordered Wilson out of the car and then proceeded to drive full-tilt into the dining room (where he easily could've killed one or all of the people there). Performance art?
Like I said ... I'll have to think some more about this one.
