Sunny and warming up -- 71 degrees (21.6 Celsius) with a bit of a wind out of the south-southwest. Probably time to take the flannel sheets off the bed.

Here's a fairly strange little story from Indiana, in which an argument over pot roast leads to multiple stabbings at a local food store -- except it wasn't people who were being attacked. I can't help but love the utterly deadpan comments by the Deputy Chief of Police David Lutz:

“Him and her had a few words, and then a couple hours later, he’s down there at the Jay C Food Store doing this.”

Oh, those violent vegetarians!

Damn you, nightdog. Now I want pot roast.

No, Cronopio! Resist the siren call of the pot roast! It will make you CHUBBY!

Hee!

Heh. I've been to Edinburgh. They have fairly decent outlet mall.

Personally, I feel he should have been stabbing the Ding Dongs and Twinkies...but what do I know? And who's going to save all those chubby little boys? Won't someone save them too?! ;)

... should have been stabbing the Ding Dongs and Twinkies ...

This! And the frozen pizzas and lasagnas and the bags of potato chips! Heh, it could have been a regular fast-food massacre.

Sunny and warm this week: it should get to the high 70s by Friday. In the meantime, it's sunny and cheerful, and I need to get back to work.

But first I need some breezier music. Maybe Mercury Rev.

I think it's supposed to be in the low 80s here. I should open some windows, let the house air out.

If he really wanted to save chubby little girls, he needed to set fire to the cookie aisle. The sheriff's quote is great. :D

It's a lovely sunny day, mild enough that the Padre conducted a meeting outside on the front porch. Gives me hope that spring is really here.

You know, it's a wonder that he didn't stab his GRANDMA, if he was so upset over the pot roast. And yeah, those quotes are awesome. *g*

It sure feels like spring here. I'm pulling the heavy quilt and flannel sheets off the bed and opening windows.

DUDE. THE MEAT WAS ALREADY DEAD.

...I mean, destroying meat in a supermarket isn't exactly the way to keep people from eating meat. All it really accomplishes is that those beeves were raised and butchered for nothing. DUDE.

Anyway: Hi Nightdog! *waves* I'm done with class for the day, and now it's on to Other Things, including an eye doctor appointment later. But first: Sweet-n-sour pork for lunch.

I'm not sure he was thinking clearly enough to connect SUPERMARKET MEAT = ALREADY DEAD.

As a matter of fact, I'm betting what he was REALLY thinking was: SUPERMARKET MEAT = GRANDMA = STABBITY STAB STAB. Y/Y? *g*

And I am doing bedroom-y things -- folding a few clothes, stripping the bed, etc.

Mmmmm ... sweet and sour pork!

See, that just reminds me that I need to get moving on my bolognese sauce. Mmm, meat.

Can lack of iron and protein lead to psychosis?

Wow.

Home at last, but I need to get cleaned up, for I have been to the barn. More later.

Isn't that a great story? I just loved it.

Glad you're back. :-)

So I'm now cleaned up, and relaxing on bed w/laptop, and can chat a while.

Maybe I'll make some peppermint tea or something.

Therapist took stitches out of my hand today, checked everything out and said I'm doing very, very well. Lots of massage-y stuff now, to keep things soft and reduce adhesions, and re-train the damaged nerves.
