Wow, it's cold and raw out. It's still 37, but the wind chill has dropped a degree to 25. Did see a few grains of snow but it's hard to tell if it's really going to do anything.

Anyway, here's a very cool story about the early days of film, and a lost city buried beneath the California dunes. Heh.

Beautiful day of hiking for me! Well, it started with a downpour, but then it cleared up just as we were heading out. Pretty much perfect. I shall have to pick out my favourite pics to post, because there were a ton.

The minesite I work at has three giant pyramids built of pure sulphur, I've been on top of them. They're investigating ways of disposing of it. I like to think that a future civilization will unearth them one day and think we worshipped a Sulphur God.
