Tuesday Night

And I'm not even looking for these stories ...

Bride tries to run over groom's former girlfriend, newlyweds spend night in jail.

And that's only the tip of the iceberg. "Police said the couple was intoxicated." Gee, no kidding.

Did you see this story (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/wear/8544298.stm) on the man who lost his license for a year in England when he was caught taking his dog for a "walk" in his car?

(OK, it was only the most recent citation he got, but it was still the one that put him over the top.)

I love his attorney's comment:
In mitigation, his solicitor, Paul Donoghue, said: "He accepts it was a silly thing to do, borne out with an element of laziness."

You know what's the ONE thing in the story that actually surprises me?

...

It happened in the wrong state.

Just sayin'.

I like this story about how the Chilean earthquake has shortened Earth's day.
